How I spent my vacation

Written by Dan

On my vacation I...

  • Visited Justin and Kelley... just like the movie
  • Ate at Qdoba
  • Ate some corn on the cob
  • Carried a pumpkin on my shoulder
  • Wore the same shirt for 10 days in a row
  • Went to Springfield
  • Discussed the pros and cons of being an LLC or S-Corporation with my sis, the CPA
  • Discussed the pros and cons of leaving the name field blank on our loan application with my mom, the banker
  • Realized that my financial situation is as complex as making spaghetti
  • Submitted our loan package to the SFDC
  • Broke three fingers by crossing them too hard
  • Slept in
  • Bought the majority of my Slash costume
  • Brushed my teeth
  • Applied for an account at Technicolor for the Moxie
  • Used a toothpick
  • Laughed at a sign on the back of a bus
  • Organized our closet
  • Bought file folders for the Moxie's paperwork
  • Submitted the Moxie at IdeasHappen.com
  • Watched Shaun of the Dead, Team America, Rosemary's Baby, Glengarry Glen Ross, Young Frankenstein, Midnight Express, and Serpico
  • Also watched Scrubs, The Apprentice, Survivor, and ALL the post-season Cardinals' games.
  • Read
  • Ate
  • Took Bogey for walks
  • Redesigned Nicole's photo blog
  • Showered... !

All in all, a very productive and relaxing vacation. I like bulleted lists.

You've got to put up a link to the Moxie on IdeasHappen.com . I don't know how you do it, but this guy did it: http://projectpedal.blogspot.com , so his hyperlink goes right to his idea. I went through about 50 ideas looking for the Moxie so that I could "feel it," but I never saw it. Then I tried to search for "Moxie,"
"Movie," and "Theater," and still got squat. If you can put up a direct link, I'll vote for you! (I'm sure everyone else would too.)

I applaud your list. I boo your choice of bullets. Circles are so 1997.

That's a lot of activities. Although visiting Stephy Squeaks in Ohio should have been on one of them...

Beautiful bullet list.

So is The Moxie going to be an S-Corp or an LLC?

Did you find Team America disappointing?

Dan says:

Oz: I would, but MSN hasn't sent me a direct link yet... damn them to hell!

Tim: Thanks!

Tim: Doh!

Rachel: Alas, will I ever get out of the 90s?

Einahpets: Stephy Squeaks needs to move closer.

Luke: The Moxie will be a little of both. Formed as an LLC, taxed as an S-Corp through K1 forms. Team America was funny... not hilarious, but funny.

The LLC/S-Corp combo sounds pretty good. At least it does from what I remember about those things from my accounting and tax classes in college.

I went as Slash for Halloween in 1995. Everyone said, "Great wig," but that was no wig. I also made track marks on my arms in honor of Slash's heroin habit, but I had no idea what they should look like and just drew lines along some of the veins. Good thing there were no real heroin addicts at the party or they might have attacked me. Luckily they would have been too sickly to do any real damage.
