Behind the blog, intro

Written by Dan

Somewhere, deep in the recesses of my mind, there's a post begging to be written about the human element behind this entire venture. How it feels to be stuck in St. Louis when I know we should be in Springfield. The exhilarating optimism-fueled days when everything seems to be going our way, and the other days, the ones I never talk about, when the entire project feels like it's slipping away. That's what I wanted to write about tonight, but I could't seem to find the words.

You should totally write about the times you think the whole thing is slipping away. "This blog is intended to chronicle the process of developing, financing, starting, and maintaining a small, independently-owned, art-house theater." I didn't read anything in that which specifies "only the good, positive parts of...."

Or is this some sort of macho crap where you can't show your insecurities?

It's some sort of macho crap where I can't show my insecurities, or reveal that I wet the bed... wait. Damn it!

I knew it! I placed two bets when I started reading this blog. 1) The theater is in Missouri. 2) Dan is a bed wetter. Watch out, Vegas, I'm coming to collect.
