The Moxie has moved!

The cat's out of the bag...

Written by Dan

October's Moxie A Go-Go was just announced in today's paper (see here). We're co-presenting THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW with the Landers Theatre... at their place, of course. It's going to be a blast! The Landers is selling ROCKY HORROR prop kits with rice and newspaper and all the other stuff that people toss around during a typical screening. I've never even seen RHPS, but I can easily say it's been the single most requested movie for us to play.

I'm just glad I'm not on the cleaning staff... woo hoo!

Haven't seen a good "woo-hoo!" around here in some time.

Ditto on that cleaning woohoo. I will definitely go to this. Even though I really don't like RHPS that much. But I bet it will be fun.

Dan says:

@Al: Not much, but as with all Moxie A Go-Go's, we're doing it more for the exposure than the money. I don't think we've ever made more than $100 from a single MaGG event.

The venue is an interesting choice since the Landers used to show movies before switching to plays.

RHPS? That's such a Vandivort/Moxie film. At the Landers? Hmm. I'd have expected a Sing-Along Sound of Music. Now THAT would be cool! (Almost as fun as the impromptu Sing-Along Mary Poppins that occurred when I was in college.) ;D

nicole says:

Sing-Along Sound of Music AND Mary Poppins are on my must-list as far as Moxie goes.

We're doing RHPS with Landers because they're getting rid of all their seats, and so the lower level will be empty.

How much is it gonna be per person?
