The Moxie is Moving

Just dropping by to say hello

Written by Dan

Hello. I haven't written much lately, have I? I'm not sure what's been keeping me from posting lately... maybe it's the fact that not much has been going on around here, or that I just haven't been in the mood to write much lately (I go through cycles). Either way, here we are. Hmmm.

Do you know that in TWO days this blog will be TWO years old? Can you believe that?! That's twice as old as the theater itself! Did you know that two human years equates to roughly 89 years in the life of a blog. It's true. I'll mark the date by making a big announcement about the theater on Wednesday. Woo hoo!

In other news, BETTIE PAGE has been performing quite well over the last three days, and I think it's only going to get better when we open THE PROMISE to play along side her. And for those of you who don't get our newsletter, here's a partial peek at what's coming up in June (in guess the picture form):

We're still waiting on one more film to round out our schedule... and it's a much-requested one too. Other than that, more news to follow!

Ooh, it's that pregnant one from Lost. No idea what the film is though.

Nate says:

Me neither.
But whatever it is, I bet Hard Candy will be ten times better.

The Four Finger Soc Em says:

That's Brick. The others are Hard Candy, Boys of Baraka, Kinky Boots, The Devil & Daniel Johnston (?), Down In the Valley, L 'Enfant, the local "space one", and the silent movie Moxie A Go-Go... right?

The Four Finger Soc Em says:

Oh man, we must've been typing at the same time. Sorry Nate, I just totally ruined the joke.

Dan says:

You got 'em Four Finger! That's native Springfieldian Pearl White in the last photo - think: Julia Roberts of the silent film era. That particular event will be named in her honor.

Caleb says:

Well played Nate, well played.

I hope you guys get that one other much-requested film - it looks so good!

And if you're looking for a July or August (?) blockbuster, this one might be your ticket. It opens at the end of June so I thought maybe you could get it by then. It looks pretty one-sided, but I think people don't care about politics anymore when it comes to gas prices.

Someone please tell me this is a late April Fool's Day joke...

So the blog, Bob Dylan, and I all have the same birthday. Sweet.

Matthew Martin (Master RJ) says:

Nope, it's just a long-delayed comic book adaptation (Hollywood can make and ruin Elektra, but they can't make the Watchmen. Odd.) .
